Clean Water and Tube Well Projects

Support an urgent clean-water appeal for verified tube wells, boreholes, water points, repairs and related facilities in communities across Africa.

The project can begin with something ordinary: a student turns on a tap and water appears. Then the class encounters a community where safe water may require distance, effort or an unreliable source. That glass of water becomes the beginning of the investigation.

The Problem

Some communities lack reliable access to safe water because wells, boreholes, water points or related facilities are absent, damaged or insufficient.

Driving Question

How can we design a realistic clean-water project that contributes toward safer and more reliable water access for a community in need?

Possible Student Solution

Investigate water access, health, geography and infrastructure; compare possible interventions and indicative costs; design a campaign; set a feasible contribution goal; and support an available clean-water pathway.
