A Sheep (Al-Ghanam) or Goat (Standard) Qurbani allows you to fulfill your religious obligation through the sacrifice of a healthy, Shariah-compliant animal—each representing one full Qurbani for an individual—where the animal must be at least one year old, free from defects such as blindness, severe illness, or deformities, and is sacrificed by trained Muslims following proper Islamic guidelines, with the meat ideally distributed among family, relatives, and the poor, ensuring your act of worship not only meets spiritual requirements but also delivers meaningful nourishment, charity, and compassion to underprivileged communities.
A sheep should be at least 1 year old (some scholars allow 6 months if it is fully grown and healthy).
No strict maximum age, but it must be healthy, mature, and free from defects.
2. Shares and Participation:
One sheep per person — unlike cows, sheep cannot be shared among multiple people.
Each person’s sacrifice is individual, making it simple and direct.
